Western Australian Issues
Western Australia has an area of almost 253,000,000 hectacres, it was first settled at King George's Sound in 1827, but moved to the Swan River two years later, it was not until 22 years later that it became a penal colony, but remained one until 1868, in 1890 the State achieved responsible Government and then joined the Commonwealth of Australia in 1901, with the other States.
The first postage stamps were issued on 1 August, 1854.
