Royal Definitive Issue

This stamp was redesigned from the 1963, 5d Royal Visit stamp (156-1-1), but in a smaller format, there was a standard issue in 5d Green & Red, plus a number of Imperforate Pairs in Green (these came from uncut booklet panes) & 3 different imperforate singles in all Booklet stamps, the 5d Green Booklet stamps (released 17 June, 1964, below) & 5d Red Booklet stamps (released 13 July, 1965), these were issued in 5/- or 60d Booklets of 12 stamps, these stamps could be Imperforate on either left or right & top or bottom (two sides) & also top or bottom only (one side), broken down into 2 Issues of 4 Parts, Issue 1, Part 1, 1963; Issue 1, Part 2, 1964 (below); Issue 2, Part 1, 1965; Issue 2, Part 2, 1965.

Northern Territory Cattle Industry Definitive
Part 2

This design is of an Aboriginal Stockman cutting out a steer, the original printings (part 1) was on 26 July, 1961, was on Cream Wove Paper, but supplies were issued (part 2) on 17 June, 1964 (below), on White Paper, the colouring is very different being a brighter Red/Brown.

This issue has the same design on both stamps, a 5d Green & a 2/3 Red, it is a Bleriot XI Monoplane, the type of plane flown by Maurice Guillaux in 1914, he left Melbourne on 16 July, 1914 at 9:12 am, arriving in Sydney on 18 July at 2:50 pm. (flight time was 8 hours & 2 minutes)

This release shows a 2/6 stamp, based on a photograph by Roy Dunstan, the image is of a central Australian Aboriginal named "One Pound Jimmy", he was named this as each time he was asked how much he charged to perform a task he replied, "One pound, Boss", his Aboriginal name was Gwoya Jungarai, he died on 28 March, 1965, while on walkabout on the Narweitooma cattle station, west of Alice Springs, although being advanced in years (over 70) his actual age was never known. There were 5 Issues of 11 Parts to this release; Part 1, Issue 1, 1950; Part 1 Issue 2, 1951; Part 1, Issue 3, 1952; Part 2, 1952; Part 3, Issue 1, 1950; Part 3, Issue 2, 1951; Part 3, Issue 3, 1956; Part 3, Issue 4, 1959; Part 4, 1957; Part 5, 1964 (below); Part 6, 1965.

Issue 1, Part 3

This issue was released in three parts, Issue 1, Part 1, 1959; Issue 1, Part 2, 1960; Issue 1, Part 3, 1964 (below), the issue was designed by Margaret Stones a botanical artist, (also an Australian) attached to the staff of Kew Gardens, London, the 1/6 & 2/5 were both printed on Maize Coloured paper, the 2/- & 3/- were both printed on White paper, while the 2/3 was printed on both Maize & White paper, there was also an Australian Native Flower release from July, 1968 in Decimal currency.
