This stamp was released with two perforations (both listed below), it commemorates the settlement of Victoria & the founding of the city of Melbourne, the design shows an Aboriginal standing on the banks of the Yarra River with the city of Melbourne in the background, it was also the first stamp to be produced on a rotary machine.

This stamp was released Commemorating the life of Captain John Macarthur, the design was created by superimposing a photo of a champion ram on a photo taken of the Blue Mountains from Macarthur's homestead site, in the first printing of the 2d Red, the shading in the back ground hills is lighter than the second printing.

The design shows Hermes - Greek god of speed encompassing both sides of the globe, there were three printings in this stamp, the first (14-1-1) in 1934 (below), the second (14-1-2) 1937 & the third (14-1-3) in 1948. The value is pronounced one shilling & six pence or one & six.
