Lest We Forget: Anzac Day
Part 1, Lick & Stick
Design: Brian Clinton - Typography: Sally Piskuric, Australia Post Design Studio - Printer: SEP Sprint
This release is of Anzac Day, considered by many in Australia and New Zealand as our most important celebration, remembering those who fell to give us the peace that came after World War I, the Anzac tradition followed both countries through World War II and beyond, at each Dawn Service these words are spoken "They shall not grow old, as we who are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning  We will remember them."    In this way we remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for freedom.

This release is about saving the environment and ourselves, there are four stamps in this release,  all 50c they are; Save Water; Reduce Waste; Travel Smart and Save energy.   Water restrictions in many parts of Australia brought 'Saving Water' to the forefront some years ago, waste production in any area is a problem so 'Reducing Waste' is a high priority in any area or city, a huge amo8nt of greenhouse gases are produced through travel, 'Travel Smart' or traveling smart helps reduce the amount of gases produced, electricity produces huge amounts of greenhouse gases so it stands to reason by reducing our use of electricity or 'Saving Energy' we in turn minimise our greenhouse footprint.
