This is the "Lick & Stick" version Series 1, Part 1, issued January, 1992 (below), issued at the same time was Series 1, Part 2, issued January, 1992 (see next issue), they are listed separately for convenience, both sets are the same, except Part 1 has a normal perforation, while Part 2, has a simulated perforation (peel & stick), six threatened species are used in the designs, the Parma Wallaby; the Ghost Bat; the Long-tailed Dunnart; the Little Pygmy Possum; the Dusky Hopping Mouse & the Squirrel Glider, a Counter Printed variety (Series 2, Part 3) was released June, 1993, this issue although the same basic design as the Threatened Species (Series , Parts 1 & 2), is different, the stamps are longer than the previous issue, also values were changed as these stamps could be printed with any value between 45c and $100.00.

This is the "Peel & Stick" version, Series 1, Part 2 issued January, 1992 (below), both sets are the same, except Series 1, Part 1, also issued January, 1992 (above), has a normal perforation, while Part 2, has a simulated perforation and was issued in a $2.25, (5 x 45c) stamp sheetlet, a $4.50 (10 x 45c) Booklet, (the original booklet shows an ad for the 1992 Olympics on the cover) & a box of 100, six threatened species are used in the designs, Parma Wallaby; the Ghost Bat; the Long-tailed Dunnart; the Little Pygmy Possum; the Dusky Hopping Mouse & the Squirrel Glider, in the booklets, the last two stamps, the Dusky Hopping Mouse & the Squirrel Glider (1085 & 1086) only appear once, while in the sheetlet the Parma Wallaby (1081) is not shown at all. The Booklets & Sheetlets were only printed by Printset Cambec Pty. Ltd., by photo-litho, a number of overprints were produced, the $2.25 Sheetlet was overprinted for the Columbian World Stamp Expo, Chicago '92, May, 1992 (twelve issues down) & the $4.50 booklet was overprinted three times; the Brisbane Stamp Show, June, 1992 (seventeen issues down); the Kuala Lumpur '92, Exhibition, September, 1992 (twenty one issues down) & the Taipei Exhibition '93, April, 1993, a number of Counter Printed stamps were issued with different Literals, (four in 1993 & one issue of two printings on 16 August,1994, Series 2, were released from June, 1993, this issue although the same basic design as the Threatened Species (Parts 1 & 2), is different, the stamps are longer than the previous issue, values were also changed as these stamps could be printed with any value between 45c and $100.00. The box of 100 was printed by both Printset Cambec Pty. Ltd., by photo-litho & Pemara Labels by letterpress, the box of 200 was only printed by Printset Cambec Pty. Ltd., by photo-litho.

The Frama machines have been installed in a number of locations throughout Australia, Sydney (2000), Canberra (2601), Melbourne (3000), Brisbane (4000), Adelaide (5000), Darwin (0800), Perth (6000), Hobart (7000)& Other Offices (no Postcode) values from 1c to $20.00 were able to be produced, this design, the seventh & last in the Australian fauna series is the the Emu, this label was overprinted six times.

This issue based on the Australian Wetlands was released in January, 1992, with 14.5 x Imperforate, perforation in the initial & then first reprint (1992), then in 1994 for the second reprint the perforation changed to 13.88 x Imperforate, although reprinted in 1994, it is listed here with the January, 1992 issues (below).
There were four overprints: Canberra Stamp Show, March, 1992 (three issues down); Columbian World Stamp Expo, Chicago '92, May, 1992 (eight issues down); Australian Stamp Exhibition '93, Kaohsiung, April, 1993; Queensland Stamp & Coin Show, June 1994.
(It has been reported that booklets were issued overprinted for Kaohsiung with the 13.88 perforation, but I have not confirmed this)

The $1.05 stamp had Australian & American Flags printed in alternative gutter pairs, the $1.20 Specimen was released in 1993, but is listed below

Ltd., by photo-litho, two other overprints of the $4.50 booklet were produced for the Brisbane Stamp Show, June, 1992 (five issues up) & the Taipei Exhibition '93, April, 1993, the $2.25 Sheetlet was also overprinted for the Columbian World Stamp Expo, Chicago '92, May, 1992 (nine issues up), a Counter Printed variety (Part 3) was also released June, 1993.
